They're still wearing dress shoes, though.
Settle down, Chris. This is a family-friendly blog...
Dion pronounces "profitable" like "profiterole"
yeah, stop making me imagine Liz May without pants, Chris :)
What are the odds we'll an answer dealing with the fact that people care about the environment more as they become richer?
May is a non-presence in this debate.
Jack - "making big polluters pay"...doesn't he understand that's canadian citizens...
hopefully, her pants are not a non-presence
Chris, Albertans more specifically, perhaps
Step 1: fees for carbon emissions. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profits!
Harper is the only one who makes the point that environmental protection comes with a cost. The rest think regulatory jobs are somehow real jobs, even though no wealth is created. May is the worst for this.
What May leaves out is that German emissions are going up, and they are building coal power plants...
Harper probably knows what the broken window fallacy is
Dion's word versus Harper's - who is more trustworthy?
I'll drink the whole bottle if he does his trademark shrug
Won't somebody think of the children??
You'll drink it anyway, Terrence. :-)
Elizabeth May just demonstrated that it's not the Green Shift that's unexplainable, it's Dion who can't explain it
haha, that doesn't count.
"do you tink it's easy to make priorities??"
I just heard Palin referred to Biden as "Senator O'Biden"
I don't get it...the oppositions bashes corporate profits at the beginning of the debate, but then when it comes to the green shift, suddenly they talk about how profitable it will be for businesses. I think they confuse the word "business" with "bureaucrat"
I think that NDP recreational nudist candidate was thinking of the children, Janet. Does that count?
it will create lots of "green" bureaucratic jobs...
oh oh, Layton compared Harper to George Bush
Dion - fossil fuel prices are going up... so why would you want to increase the price even more???
Jobs that destroy wealth -- we'd be better off paying these people to stay home rather than get "green jobs".
See how gentle Stephen Harper is?
Prohibit the export of raw bitumen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What about provincial jurisdiction?
well clearly...people who stay home and collect government checks, pollute less than those who commute out to their jobs.. so a welfare check would be a "green job"
Bush is candidate number 6 at the table tonight.
I think Bush should get a few minutes to respond
He shakes the kitty's hand when he takes her to the litter box.
oh yes Jack, we know you want to shut down the oil sands, and throw thousands out of work...
I just realized something horrifying: After that picture was taken, Harper probably ate that kitten
then he let Exxon dump oil in its litter box
I guess the Nature Conservancy is no longer privately funded, and privately managed.
