Ready to go? #RTEFL...
Public sector work stoppage, and anti-social behaviour tonight on #rtefl...
Error 1 Pat. It's legally not ASB if it's in your own home. #rtefl
(and floods #rtefl)
He looks awfully clean for someone without running water #rtefl
A man who opened an estate agents in Ballinasloe, 5 WEEKS AGO! Jis premises have been destroyed - bigger Q, an estate agents? Now? #rtefl
While the levels of rainfall are unusual, we can't ignore that building on floodplains and other mistakes made things worse. #RTEFL
#rtefl We're all providing emergency cover. Patient care will not be compromised.
Pat speaks for the common man now does he? #rtefl
Do you think it's right there will be a strike tomorrow? #RTEFL
90 families evacuated in/around Athlone according to RTE News. Will Athlone Town Council and Westmeath Co Co join the strike? #rtefl
Patients' guy is very short-sighted #rtefl
#rtefl Private hospitals do not employ public sector workers... hence why they're open....
It wasn't the unions that decided to postpone action. It was the public servants in flooded areas that sorted that #rtefl
I still think the Govt is going to repossess all houses on floodplains via NAMA and then stick in a massive insurance claim. #rtefl
#rtefl The goverment refused to talk to us. They're happy to be saving 100million Euro with a strike. They want this to happen
Does this idiot not realise the unions have been round the table with the Gov? #rtefl
Curious argument that there shouldn't be a strike because it will cause disruption. Isn't that the point? #rtefl
Patient guy does not understand what a strike means #rtefl
ok, so watching the apprentice while keeping an eye on #rtefl. Happy medium.
#RTEfl @dl37: "Yes. The gov't should be accountable to the people" - Some suggest moving the day would be better, due to floods. Thoughts?
Family carers are not employees of a corrupt government #rtefl
she didnt have to cut back on blusher anyway #rtefl
The timing (biblical floods & all) is v bad for public sector - smarter to postpone - better PR - if it's a statement not a warning. #rtefl
#rtefl @rtefrontline The strike gives the public sector an opportunity to vent it's anger, but will not assist with feeling of helplessness.
Have to keep jumping between #apprentice and #rtefl thanks to @tv3_ireland changing apprentice time
Approx 1/3 of public servants earn less than the average industrial wage. Already they pay an income levy. Cuts fair to them? #rtefl
(meaning a statement to draw attention - as opposed to 'we're warning you, this is what you're in for if we don't get our way....' #rtefl)
By the time they get pensions they'l be so taxed they'll be worthless. #rtefl
Odd thing is the strike saves the state what €50m? So say a series of rolling of strikes 1 day per month would save us €600m #RTEFL
And why should public servants pay 7% of what is often an average wage into a pension? Many need that money week to week. #rtefl
Pat is determined to set the private against the public sector. Infuriating. Common enemy is the government #rtefl
Back to trying to drive a wedge between Public & Private. Shut up ISME #rtefl
#RTEFL what about the drop in costs for peoples mortgages, food, clothes etc..Mortgage costs have dropped hugely -why does no-one say this?
#rtefl Pat Irish govt had contracts with small businesses and employee,s. They only look after big business. Look at the taxi situation.
There is a separate pension-fund: it's been raided for the bank recapitalisation! #rtefl
A cut is a cut. It's trying to disguise tax as levy. #rtefl
Exactly. Strike is an option if last resort. #rtefl. It is not High Treason.
Sorry, can you expand on that @joeykudo. Re 7% - is that a reason why they should strike? Or something to change to stop striking? #rtefl
There is a separate pension-fund: it's been raided for the bank recapitalisation! #rtefl €11 billion stolen from it!
Who is this prick? Fucking treason! #rtefl
