Everyone can see my screen as i am typing right behind the performer
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:43:41 PM
hi
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:43:52 PM
Thought (after): its very quiet in here - the piece we are watching, is very quiet at the moment, one of the main sounds (except all the sounds that are of course +1 to here - like people walking past chatting, like a door slamming) is TYPING ON A KEYBOARD - how does my typing now interfere with this?
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:44:24 PM
@Rachel Lois Clapham hi Rachel Lois
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:44:33 PM
HI I am trying to type REALLY QUIETLY
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:45:12 PM
We are reading words on a screen - and there is this QUIET murmer of someone reading them.
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:45:32 PM
Rachel Lois is in the front row.
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:45:47 PM
One performer reads text on paper, another reads the same text on screen, so these texts are actually quite different.
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:46:30 PM
my screen faces the audience, I do not
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:46:59 PM
Welcome to our watchers! If you would like to comment feel free to do so. (even if it is to just say hi - so that we know you are there and the bit at the top of the screen that says (5 watchers) is not just an error or some sort of trickery.
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:47:37 PM
5?
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:48:02 PM
How is your screen you? How is my screen me?
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:49:05 PM
My screen -Well, I am in someone elses work, I am paying attention to that persons' work, but when i look at my own keyboard - my own screen- to do this (this) i look away from the work. What is this looking away?
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:50:01 PM
I'm looking at the work for a bit now-radio silence pending
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:50:30 PM
Some sort of multiplying of screens going on right now:
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:52:47 PM
1. My screen
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:52:53 PM
2. my screen
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:53:12 PM
3. Her screen (the BIG screen in the performance)
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:53:19 PM
4. The current document window on that screen (document 11)
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:54:45 PM
5. and the many other windows behind it
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:55:04 PM
And her screen is framed not only by the screen itself but also by Microsoft Word - so we see text appearing, text made at some point by the artist - BUT ALSO - 'Document Elements', 'Quick Tables', 'Charts', 'SmartArt Graphics', 'Word Art'
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:55:10 PM
@Rachel Lois Clapham Is a window a screen?
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:55:22 PM
file, edit, view, insert, format, font, tools, table, window, work, help - a certain familliarity to the screen space we are currently watching - these WORDS, this TEXT always +1 to writing in/on Microsoft Word.
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:57:04 PM
hmmm... they are all different views, pages, windows within the screen. Maybe the difference is matter, material, which makes no difference to me
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:57:15 PM
I feel very +1 right now, it's difficult doing this when it is so quiet and only the sound of keyboard happeneing. Sometimes the sound of the keyboard is mine!
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 12:58:45 PM
And there are all these icons at the bottom of the screen - some I recognise, some I don't
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:59:01 PM
@Rachel Lois Clapham Okay - how is a keyboard click no different to a cough, or a shuffle or a creaking chair?
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 12:59:39 PM
Akillas asks - How to describe something?
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 1:00:46 PM
Grammar corrections on Microsoft Word as +1
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 1:01:51 PM

by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 1:04:09 PM
Johanna Linsley has just come up onto the stage.
by Alex Eisenberg at 11/26/2009 1:08:17 PM
Johanna now. I have seen Johanna's text already, looking forward to the reading of it, the +1
by Rachel Lois Clapham at 11/26/2009 1:08:22 PM
Johannah is dressed in a black trench (open) , open neck shirt, she has a breifcase by her
