No pitching the tent in the dark for me. Is it terribly un-rock and/or roll of me to admit to Tangerine Fields? Tent up, mattress blown...
Just stocked up on festival supplies. Hmmm, orange juice and an eyemask? I appear to be growing old. Still, the OJ goes well with vodka.
Off to Decathlon to buy my wellies for Latitude ... and a gazebo, maybe. I'll be having my tent pitched by slaves (no joke) tomorrow. Ah ...
Leaving London much later than planned and driving through a big old lightning storm. Aaah, the joys of English festivalling.
http://twitpic.com/al7ry Here! Storm followed us here despite our best attempts to shake the thing. Thank crikey some tents are already up!
http://twitpic.com/ammso Morning, and no rain! Housemates B and D survey the tent work we did at 2.30am in the dark. Not bad. Not bad at all
http://yfrog.com/9ebnjj loving my lovely new peach wellies. Almost want it to rain! Actually scratch that.. Ugly packamac doesn't match.
Grey sky of death as we pack the car for Latitude. But nothing's going to dampen my spirits! BBC just announced 'unseasonal weather'... duh.
http://twitpic.com/amtr0 Huzzah for the sunshine! Now let's get Latted.
Made it! Packed in like sardines at tangerine fields, but at least we're here. Arena here I come...
About to catch the train to Latitude, armed with one of these:
http://bit.ly/Bw84Q. Bring on the cold!
http://twitpic.com/an7he Amazing Baby on the Main Stage. They're not babies and not amazing, but they are on the main stage so only 2/3 lies
Ok, first stage- comedy. Stephen k Amos. With the rest of latitude by the looks of it. Better be funny!
Only just arrived and yet to meet my tent slave, who have not yet performed their duty. And it's starting to rain. Gaaaa ...
Midnight and it's kicking off at the sunrise arena. In the middle of the woods. What a magical spot..
Little rain. Wellies on. Main tent: I like to move it, move it ... Come on! It's only 0026, not 1994 .,,
Local Natives - the best band so far, and in the middle of the woods, too. Just beautiful.
http://twitpic.com/aplsx Where do festival loving pirates go? Laaaarrrrrtitude.
Back in bed. Hear grunting to the side. Really hope it is one of the slavesz.
http://twitpic.com/aqyal Festival cooking - who needs dirty burger vans when you can cook tiny rashers of bacon one piece at a time?
Saturday is shaping up as the best latitude lineup. DM stith, Scott Matthews, st vincent, spiritualized. Let's hope the weather holds...
Something I learned yesterday - getting connected to do this tweeting malarkey can be a right palava in a festival forest
Wildbirds and Peacedrums absolutely rocked the uncut arena. What a find! Thank you
@mrleeward for the tip. Best so far?
Weatherman talking rubbish: it's t-shirt-and-shorts hot here in Suffolk. Notice it more during the day: lots of school kids here. Too many?
http://twitpic.com/arfsk Back we go for more Latitude action - the lure of the woods is strong today. Maps and Passion Pit? Yes please.
Datarocl are making it a day to rock.
http://twitpic.com/arkt8 H tucks into festival oysters. Brave girl!
Oh, they're The Airborne Toxic Event! Well, why didn't they say so?
Patrick Wolf: cross between a Thundercat and a pirate. Not sure about his music - shouty warbling. The pie I've just had was superb, though.
http://twitpic.com/as2z3 Emmy the Great. She's called Emmy and she's great. Way more truthful than those Amazing Baby characters.
Passion Pit seems to ne today's hidden gem. Everyone packed into the little sunrise arena, having a boogie.
Another cracking day at a cracking festival. After the bands ended the dancing continued in the woods til the wee small hours. Lovely stuff!
Passion Pit seems to be today's hidden gem. Everyone packed into the little sunrise arena, having a boogie.
Heading in nice and early for a good spot for Thom Yorke's solo. His soundcheck is already drifting across the campsite. A perfect start.
I'm afraid your poxy lovebox toilets can't hold a candle to the grotesqueries of the latitude black hole masquerading as a loo
A lot more rain today and the ground's starting to churn. Still, it's the last day and at least the comedy tent is dry.
Sad to leave Latitude early but housemate/driver makes the call on that front. A really quite wonderful weekend - I'll be back next year!
Ok, the last hurrah. St Etienne, !!! and Gossip to round out what's been a brilliant, wet Latitude. iPhone dying, over & out...
Sunday turned out to be the highlight music-wise, despite the horrid weather. Thom Yorke=brilliant. Gossip= riotous fun. !!!= ultra funk.
