- Just so we're clear about what's happening today... This will be IE 9 developer features--it's MIX--not something end users would want. Just so we're clear. :)

- I'd like to see Microsoft finally try something new in IE that goes beyond semi-useful features like accelerators. And I'd like to non-MS websites pick up on it. Is it just me or did eBay just get rid of the web slices?
- @Kevin That's a great Q... I wasn't able to get any of that info. I assume it to be their goal, but they're not there yet.

- I think SVG is a given with the recent W3C activity. And I can't imagine they would have mentioned Acid 3 at PDC if they didn't intend to have a very high score at the end of development.
- Even if they release a CTP for IE9 I'll install it. I think I did the same with IE8 before.
- Keep in mind guys, Microsoft has to be able to keep backwards compatibility for sites and apps that were built upon their older engine. This poses a problem for them as they can't completely break with what they currently have.

- I used the CTP of IE8 and much prefered it over IE7, I hope they do en even better job with IE9
- I wonder if we may see some sort of dual rendering engine browser, where it can switch between the two, depending what's needed.
- They'll probably keep compatibility mode for that reason

- I can't imagine anything groundbreaking happening on the IE front. Still, I felt the same way about Windows Mobile.
- I hope IE9 has smooth multi-touch pinch/stretch to zoom like the Mobile IE in Windows Phone 7 Series Emulator
- The IE team should let their UI guys adopt a Metro/ribbon look for IE 9

- Since IE9 is going to use GPU accel etc, it'd be a blast if they showed some game running in it.
- As much as I love the ribbon elsewhere, I'm not sure I'd want it in IE.
