We can't get everyone online until we have the pipes. We need fibre, not obsolete throttled copper.

I have 100 families and businesses round me who can't get online. Even dial up doesn't work. No mobile signal. No satellite cos of south facing hills. Who will help?

Jim missing the point. hundreds of properties in my area alone would love to be online. The obsolete copper can't deliver. Mobile can't deliver. Nor can satellites, we have tried them all.

Question for panel: How are you going to get 100% participation when so many people can't get a connection despite the lies of ofcom and openretch? Even now their websites say 99.8% are connected to dsl enabled exchange. They omit to mention it is only for voice access. Politicians need to be aware of this spin...

we recycle old computers out of skips and loan them to the elderly in our village. Then they get the hang of it and buy their own. then we recycle them again.

It's all fine and well making these plans for digital inclusion in the UK, but how are you going to implement and develop a future proof infrastructure over which each user can access the internet? The infrastructure in place today is fragmented between private companies... will they be installing new higher speed networks to cope with the increased internet traffic? OR will the governement be willing to pay for an infrastructure which will meet the demands? I somehow can't see digital inclusion working until a high speed infrastructure is in place which will meet the demand of an additional 10million home users and thats not including those who are digitally excluded by circumstance at this present time!
