Union will reduce fragmentation and provide opportunities for developers. Uses Qt.
Meego.com goes live today. Combine expertise of Intel and Nokia. Combine maemo.org and moblin.org into one new community at meego.com
Open source, open innovation. Will reshape the way ecosystems full. Equal opportunities for manufacturers.
There are 17 manufacturers working on Moblin devices. This will all merge into Meego. Great potential for new devices to appear.
First release of Meego in Q2 this year.
Meego complements Symbian for Nokia. Symbian will continue to address the broad market of smartphones.
Kai says there will be no delays to Maemo timeline as a result of this merge.
We will see Meego devices in H2 from mutiple manufacturers.

Maemo 6 will be completely compatiable with Meego in terms of apps. Final branding decision for Maemo 6 not made (think that is right)

Ovi Maps annouced free nav on Jan 21st. Response has been fantastic. After 26 days now over 3 million downloads. 185 countries.
But also good business. Low incremental cost, but high perceived value. A solution. Hardware + software + acess. Helps maintain ASP.
Also the potential of apps and services on top. Maps is a magnet for Nokia. Attracts users.
Music - CwM in 23 markets. 33 a la carte countries. Now 30% will grow to 70%. New plat - better search, drm free.
November - december - activations grew 400% - scaling and scaling fast.
CwM user typically downloads 500 tracks in first few weeks. Changes usage patterns.
Ovi Store - getting better and better in fast interations. 1 million Ovi Maps downloas are via Ovi Store - 33% of total.
Ovi Store - 15 downloads a second. At peak 1000 per minute. 90% are served in local language.
Messaging. Nokia Messaging and Ovi Mail. 70 operator contractors. 50% in market now.

Nokia Money - starting small in India with the unbanked. In Pune, India. Other Indian cities over 12 months. First partner is Yes Bank.
