Singularity University (SU) is bringing the brightest minds together and is trying to teach them how the world is being transformed by technology and factors like Moore's Law, etc.
Sergey Brin, who attended the founding meeting of SU, told that SU members should tackle the largest problems in the world

OM: I described Hulu as ClownCo in the beginning

OM: Hulu kept me going through a tough time of sickness
JK: Hulu is, despite it's success, pretty earl in its development
JK: hulu represents the way media should be, that's why people love us
OM: hulu has more competition. a lot of services are coming with premium content
JK: we have the right for nothing ... he is trying to emphasize, that they need to work hard to keep the competition at bay
JK: we are very focussed on our culture
JK is pretty confident that they are in this for the long haul and that the board is seeing the big picture
JK: hulu needs a certain amount of independence to work
OM: Hulu has about 900 million video streams each month
JK: our business is a very solid one, for every stream there is a return
JK: there is a big misunderstanding on how sold this is as a business
OM: you're not having the monetizing issues that youtube had?
Hulu is able to monetize new and old content ...
JK: we're serving about 400 top advertisers
JK: i challenged our team to cross a very high revenue goal. we made it and so we all shaved our hair
JK: the mission of hulu is to help people find and enjoy the worlds premium content
JK: the hulu of today won't go away
OM: when is hulu coming to europe?
Hulu will adjust it's model to have access to premium content that might be only available via a subscription model
JK: its no technical issue
JK: its a long hard work to get the rights
OM: say in 2010?
JK: that sounds like a product roadmap-question :-)
Om is grilling JK on when Hulu will be available in Europe
OM: you come from the jeff bezos school of management - don't tell them anything
JK is really good at not talking about product road maps
JK: we are very big believers in mobile. and we don't think about one device only
JK: "the computer in your pocket is very important ..."
OM: what about the apple tablet for streaming Hulu? what would be your strategy around that?
JK: "We are agnostic when it comes to the device..."
JK: content owners are always going to act in their best interest
JK: we have to earn that content
JK: we work with 220 content owners
Om: what is the biggest challenge that Hulu is having right now?
JK: there is no way that we could have startet hulu ten years ago
JK: taking advantage of that and moving very, very quickly in a market that changes rapidly
OM: are you profitable?
JK: not answering financial questions
